Well, I hate to do this, but the legal climate in the USA is such that I have to... I am a childbirth educator and not a medical person. I hold an MPH with a specialty in Community Health Education (Master of Public Health), but this is not a medical degree. I am trained in the normal course of pregnancy and childbirth. I have further training as a volunteer breastfeeding counselor from Nursing Mothers Counsel. I am not qualified to give medical advice, so please use the information on this page as a general guideline for a healthy pregnancy and remember that unless referenced all material is my opinion only! Always check with your own practitioner to be sure that you are doing what will be best for YOUR baby and YOUR body! Whew, now don't you feel better? I do...
Unfortunately, it also appears to be necessary to say this: All images and text original to this web site are copyright - please do not take anything from my page for use elsewhere without asking me first. This includes excerpts of my FAQs, and any images seen here.
Thank you.

Have a medical question? You can now research it free online using Medline, but be sure you know something about reading research papers first or you will find this source very hard to understand.  Medline presents abstracts - if you find a good source you may need to visit a medical library to see the full text of the article.

I keep several FAQs for misc.kids.pregnancy:
Bradley Method Pregnancy Nutrition Birth Planning
Epidural Anesthesia General Pregnancy Part 1 General Pregnancy Part 2

Help find missing children - click here to see some faces.  The banner loads from the other site, and it slows my page way down, so I have placed it in a separate page - please do click and then come back here! Missing Kids
